The Rust Map

Have you ever wondered what states have the worst rust? Or perhaps, where in the US do cars not rust? This project was started with the hope of creating a true representation of vehicle corrosion severity in the United States.

Directions: click on your county and report the severity of vehicle rust in your area due to the use of salt, proximity to ocean, etc. Note: You CAN contribute to a county that already has a value - the colors will adjust based on the average of all responses. Please only contribute if you know the area, don't guess. The more data we get, the more accurate this will be. For more information on the definition of each, please check out the pictures here.
